- Yalong Bay is geographically sheltered from waves by headlands (great for flat water, but expect a resort-strip environment with little independent local food/nightlife within walking distance) — head into central Sanya for that.
- Prices here are notably higher than the rest of Hainan (Bo'ao, Haikou).
