Lüderitz
Lüderitz is not a resort kite town, it's a windswept, foggy-then-sandy German colonial fishing and diamond port at the end of a lonely 350km road, and most of the world only cares about it because of the annual Speed Challenge dug into its lagoon. It rewards experienced/expert riders chasing raw wind strength, speed runs or the record-attempt scene, not beginners or people wanting nightlife. Outside the couple of weeks around the Challenge the town is very quiet, tiny, and self-contained; you go for the wind and the surreal desert-meets-ocean scenery (Kolmanskop, the peninsula), not for a social kite holiday. Expect cold water, strong gusty katabatic-thermal wind almost daily, and to plan your own logistics carefully because there's little tourism infrastructure to lean on.
