Balistra

Balistra is a wide, wild beach between Bonifacio and Porto-Vecchio backed by the 99-hectare Étang de Balistra lagoon, a protected coastal wetland (19.66 hectares safeguarded by the Conservatoire du littoral since 2015) that hosts rare species including the Valencia toothcarp and Hermann's tortoise. It is popular with kitesurfers looking for a less developed alternative to the resort beaches nearby.
