Berck-sur-Mer (Grande Plage)

Berck-sur-Mer's Grande Plage is one of the Côte d'Opale's flagship kite spots: a vast, flat sand beach where the tide recedes for kilometres, opening huge learn-to-ride space at low water and a narrower wave-touched strip at high tide. Wind from anywhere between south and north (via west) works, making it reliably rideable most of the year. The town has run kite schools since at least 2011 (Opale Kite) and is well known regionally, but it is largely absent from English-language spot guides that favour nearby Wissant.
