Chia

Chia, on Sardinia's southern coast near Domus de Maria, is a wave-riding destination famous for its white sand, turquoise water, dunes and flamingo-populated lagoons. It is explicitly not a beginner spot - deep water, strong currents and consistent swell make it a favorite for advanced wave and downwind riders, especially in the winter off-season.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Pula (WeatherSpark modeled climatology) (weatherspark, ~15 km) — No WeatherSpark page exists for Chia itself (search returned no results) and Windfinder returned HTTP 429 rate-limits for the whole batch. Used the nearest town with a page, Pula, ~15 km NE along the same SW-Sardinia coast (same prevailing Mistral/west-wind exposure, so broadly representative but not spot-exact). Pattern matches the batch's known_best_months (Sep-May) reasonably well: those months are windier (8.6-11.1 kt) than deep summer (7.8-8.4 kt). No Beaufort probability data available from this source.
