Donkey Point
Donkey Point, near Kandakuli about 10km south of Kalpitiya, is a wave and wing-foiling favourite with forgiving, onshore waves and notably uncrowded conditions, and marks the start point of the classic roughly 7km downwinder back to Kalpitiya Lagoon.

No windfinder or dedicated Kalpitiya-peninsula wind page was found; used Puttalam, the mainland town ~14km E across the lagoon, as the nearest Weatherspark model point -- it captures the regional SW (Yala) monsoon signal well (matches known_best_months May-Oct closely) but will not capture Kalpitiya peninsula's local sea-breeze/lagoon thermal enhancement that kiters rely on for the cleaner, stronger lagoon-side wind.
