Enoshima / Kamakura

Two beaches flank the causeway to Enoshima island at the mouth of the Katase River, part of Tokyo's Shonan day-trip kite zone. The island creates a venturi effect that funnels and strengthens the wind, and Sagami Bay's shelter keeps waves manageable for a range of levels.
