Isla del Ciervo is the main kite spot of La Manga del Mar Menor, on the lagoon side of the sandbar separating the Mediterranean from the shallow, warm Mar Menor. Consistent spring/summer SW thermal winds and flat, waist-to-chest-deep water make it one of Spain's best all-round lagoon spots, distinct from the Mar Menor spots already on the mainland side (Los Narejos, Santiago de la Ribera, Lo Pagán).
