Kunduchi is mainland Tanzania's main kitesurf spot, on a wide sandy beach roughly 25 km north of Dar es Salaam at the Kunduchi Beach Hotel & Resort. An IKO-affiliated, F-ONE-labelled school operates here daily, teaching in reliable side-shore to side-onshore 15-20 knot wind with no reported obstacles. It is a mainland alternative to the Zanzibar spots, without the archipelago's tidal reef shelf.
