Lakey Peak (Hu'u)
One of Indonesia's most iconic wave-kiting destinations, Lakey Peak sits on a reef point near Hu'u village in southern Sumbawa, offering multiple fast, hollow breaks - the A-frame Peak, the tubing Lakey Pipe, and the mellower, current-swept Nungas - inside a strong, consistent trade-wind season. It draws expert kite and surf riders from around the world for genuine wave-riding rather than flat-water freestyle.

Hazards
- shallow reef, especially at low tide
- fast hollow surf sections (Peak, Pipe)
- heavy surfer traffic in the lineup
- current at Nungas
Tips
- Nungas (right of the Peak) has fewer surfers and more current, making it the better kiting wave
- avoid kiting at low tide - very little water over the reef
- afternoons are typically windiest
