Los Barriles
Los Barriles sits on Bahía de las Palmas on Baja California Sur's East Cape, about 45 minutes to an hour from Los Cabos airport, and is often called Baja's kitesurfing and windsurfing capital. It's La Ventana's sister spot on the same Gulf of California wind system, known for strong, reliable 'El Norte' winds that sweep down the Sea of Cortez each winter, producing side-shore wind and choppy water with small waves. The town has a well-developed water-sports and fly-fishing tourism scene built around the winter wind season.
