Pärnu
Pärnu is Estonia's main kitesurfing hub: a beach resort town on the shallow, sheltered Pärnu Bay (an inlet of the Gulf of Riga) with a long, wide sandy town beach and a cluster of kite/wing/SUP schools operating right off the beach. It combines Estonia's summer beach-resort infrastructure (hotels, restaurants, cafés) with reputedly around 280 windy days a year, making it the country's most established place to learn and ride.

Monthly wind statistics
Station: Pärnu (Weatherspark, ~0.5 km) — Station point is Pärnu itself. Dominant direction column set to a generic value; Weatherspark instead describes a seasonal shift - south winds dominate late Jan-early Apr, west winds dominate Apr-Oct (see notes/sources), not a single fixed direction, so per-month dominant_dir values are approximate. windfinder.com/windstatistics/parnu exists but explicitly states 'No statistical weather data available', pointing to Pärnu Airport (~4 km) as an alternate; that alternate was not separately fetched. Weatherspark reports average wind speed (converted to knots here), not Windfinder's probability-of->=4-Bft metric; windfinder.com/windstatistics pages for this station render their monthly table via JavaScript and returned no data through automated fetch, so prob_ge_4bft_pct is left null.

Tips
- Schools reschedule or refund lessons if there's no wind, and run SUP tours as a fallback activity on light-wind days.
- Bring just swimwear and a towel for lessons - wetsuits and gear are provided by the schools.
