Prado Beaches

The Plages du Prado are Marseille's largest beach area and its main kitesurf spot, a 3.5km stretch of reclaimed shoreline in the 8th arrondissement with open views toward the Frioul Islands and the Calanques. The Mistral wind, which historically drove waves right up onto the old coast road here, now powers a well-established local kite scene, though the launch and rigging area demands care and is best suited to more experienced riders.
