Raches (Fthiotida)

Raches is a mainland kite spot on the Malian Gulf coast of Fthiotida, about 32 km from Lamia. A sandy peninsula divides the beach into a sheltered flatwater side and a choppier wave side, with a constant thermal north/northeasterly of 15-25 knots that is strongest in July-August but blows most of the year. It is a Blue-Flag organized beach home to Surf Camp Raches, known locally as 'the beach where the heart of kitesurfing beats' in central Greece.
