Rosses Point

One of the closest beaches to Sligo town, a west-facing strand at the mouth of Sligo Harbour split by a grassy headland (Deadman's Point) with views to Coney Island and Oyster Island. Long served by LSD Kiteboarding, a locally-run school operating across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Sligo (WeatherSpark modeled climatology) (weatherspark, ~8 km) — No dedicated Rosses Point wind-stats page found; used WeatherSpark's Sligo town climatology (~8 km SE, same coastline/bay). No official Windfinder page located for this station either (windfinder.com returned HTTP 429 rate-limit errors on every attempt this session, for all 12 spots in this batch, so it could not be checked directly). No Beaufort-threshold probability figures available from WeatherSpark; only mean wind speed, direction, and temperatures. Winter (Oct-Feb) is windiest per this 24h-average model; batch had no known_best_months prior to confirm/contradict.
