Safaga

A steady Red Sea spot about 45 minutes south of Hurghada airport, historic host of the 1993 Red Sea World Windsurfing Championships. Wind typically starts side-offshore in the morning and swings side-shore by noon, building to a strong, clean afternoon that suits slalom, freeride and freestyle, with flat morning water turning gently choppy in the afternoon.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Būr Safājah (Safaga) (Weatherspark, ~0.5 km) — Station point is essentially at Safaga itself. Weatherspark reports average wind speed (converted to knots here), not Windfinder's probability-of->=4-Bft metric; windfinder.com/windstatistics pages for this station render their monthly table via JavaScript and returned no data through automated fetch, so prob_ge_4bft_pct is left null. windfinder.com/windstatistics/safaga exists but explicitly states 'No statistical weather data available' and suggests Soma Bay or Hurghada Airport as nearby alternates.
