Sečovlje / Seča (Portorož)

Slovenia's best-equipped kite spot sits on Cape Seča just south of the historic Sečovlje salt-pan nature reserve, near the resort town of Portorož. Chickenloop Kite Club runs a full watersports center here with boat-supported lessons and rescue. The coast alternates between a strong, gusty NE Bora that can blow spring and autumn storms, and a gentler NW Maestral thermal that fills in on summer afternoons.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Portorož Airport (weatherspark, ~3 km) — Windfinder DOES have a working page for Portorož (windfinder.com/windstatistics/portoroz, station 'Portorož Airport', right next to Sečovlje/Seča, ~3 km) but its monthly data table is rendered client-side via JS and could not be extracted through available fetch tools (confirmed by inspecting the raw HTML - only an Astro/JS app shell, no embedded JSON). Used WeatherSpark's Portorož page instead. Exact wind speed is given only for the windiest (Feb, 8.4 mph) and calmest (Jul, 5.8 mph) months; WeatherSpark states the predominant direction is East essentially year-round.
