Soma Bay / 7 Bft

The northern arm of the Soma Bay lagoon, home to a dedicated kite/wing house (7Bft), sees gustier, more offshore-influenced wind than the sheltered southern Abu Soma side, drawing more experienced riders. Soma Bay as a whole benefits from thermal acceleration off the desert mountains that gives it side-shore 4-8 Beaufort wind on the large majority of days year-round.
