Talamone

Talamone is a small stone-walled fishing village on a rocky headland about 2 hours north of Rome, overlooking a sandy, shallow, sheltered bay. A reliable afternoon thermal, sandy flat-water bottom, and near total absence of hazards make it one of Italy's best-regarded beginner spots, with mornings free for sightseeing the medieval village and fort.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Grosseto (WeatherSpark (MERRA-2 reanalysis climatology), ~23 km) — Windfinder blocked (HTTP 429) this session; WeatherSpark modeled climatology used instead, so prob_ge_4bft_pct is null. No WeatherSpark listing for Talamone itself; nearest is Grosseto town (~23 km inland/north), which is an inland station that will underrepresent the coastal thermal (Ponente/sea-breeze) wind that produces the batch's known Jun-Sep kiting season at Talamone. Treat these numbers as a rough regional proxy, not a match for the spot.
