Varberg / Apelviken

Apelviken ("Apple Bay Beach") is a more than kilometer-long sandy, shallow, gently sloping beach on Varberg's southern edge, on Sweden's west coast facing the Kattegat. It has been a popular watersports destination since the 1980s, is especially known for windsurfing ("particularly favorable conditions" are cited locally), and today has facilities and rental spots for windsurfing, SUP and kitesurfing, making it one of Sweden's most established kite beaches.
