White Beach / Angol Point

Boracay's famous west-facing tourist beach doubles as the island's kite spot during the Habagat (southwest monsoon) season, when wind switches from Bulabog's NE Amihan flow to a side-onshore southwesterly here. Inside the fringing reef the water is flat and beginner-friendly at high tide; outside it, small waves build with wind strength.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: WeatherSpark modeled climatology at Caticlan, Aklan (Boracay mainland gateway) (WeatherSpark (NASA MERRA-2 reanalysis, 30-yr modeled 'typical year'), ~3 km) — Windfinder has separate pages for Boracay/Bulabog Beach and Boracay/White Beach but both returned 'No statistical weather data available' live. Used WeatherSpark's Caticlan climatology (~3 km away across the strait, same regional wind system) as a proxy for both Boracay spots — same table applies to both records since Bulabog and White Beach are opposite sides of the same ~1km-wide island. Confirms the classic pattern: Amihan (NE-E trades, strong Nov-Apr => Bulabog/east side) vs Habagat (SW monsoon shift, Jun-Oct => White Beach/west side calmer thermal). prob_ge_4bft_pct null (source has no Beaufort-probability metric).
